TradeLocker Prop Firms: which firms actually offer it

TradeLocker is a browser-based trading platform that a number of newer prop firms adopted. Platform support is a hard filter — if the firm does not run it, nothing else about the firm matters to you. This page lists only firms that name TradeLocker on their own current website, and is blunt about the one thing the platform will not do for you.

The Platform

What TradeLocker is, in plain terms

TradeLocker is a trading platform you open in a browser. There is no terminal to download, no build number to match, and no server address to type in — the prop firm provisions your account and you sign in to it on the web. Charting, order entry and position management all happen in that one interface.

That is the whole of the promise, and it is a real one. What it is not is a drop-in replacement for a MetaTrader terminal, because the thing that makes a browser platform easy to start with is the same thing that removes the local runtime an EA needs.

Why so many newer prop firms adopted it

  • Onboarding is the bottleneck

A firm's worst drop-off is between checkout and first trade. A browser platform removes install, version and login friction from that gap.

  • Less to support

No desktop install means far fewer support tickets about broken terminals, wrong builds or missing servers.

  • Works on locked-down machines

Traders on work laptops or shared machines can trade without installing software.

  • Faster for the firm to launch

Adding a hosted platform is a lighter integration than standing up and maintaining terminal infrastructure.

This section describes why a browser platform is attractive to a firm operationally. It does not describe any individual firm's feature set — those differ, and are only stated per firm where the firm states them itself.

The automation limit, stated plainly

If your strategy runs as an MT5 Expert Advisor, TradeLocker is the wrong platform for you.

Expert Advisors are MetaTrader programs. They are compiled from MQL5 and they execute inside a MetaTrader terminal. A browser-based platform is not a MetaTrader terminal, so there is nowhere for an EA to load. The same applies to cTrader cBots, which are C#/.NET programs bound to cTrader. Buying a TradeLocker account expecting to attach your EA to a chart is the single most expensive mistake an MT5 trader makes on this platform — so if that is you, take a firm's MT5 account instead. Several of the firms below offer both.

Who it suits

  • Discretionary traders who place their own orders.
  • Traders who want to start quickly and hate software setup.
  • Traders on machines where they cannot install applications.
  • Traders switching firms often who do not want a new terminal each time.

Who will find it limiting

  • EA and cBot users — the automation simply is not there.
  • Traders whose edge depends on a specific third-party MQL5 indicator.
  • Traders with a heavily customised multi-monitor terminal layout.
  • Traders who need a documented offline/VPS execution setup.

What we deliberately do not claim

Mobile apps, indicator libraries, chart features, bot or copy-trading permissions and instrument counts vary by firm and change over time. We do not state them for a firm unless that firm states them itself, and we do not describe the platform's general roadmap as though it were any given firm's live offering.

If you trade discretionary and the automation limit is not a problem for you, this firm lists TradeLocker alongside MT5 and cTrader on its own site.

Prop firms that list TradeLocker

Methodology: a firm appears here only if TradeLocker is named as an available platform on the firm's own current official website. This is not a ranking and the order does not imply quality. Candidate firms whose TradeLocker support we could not confirm were left off entirely rather than listed with a question mark.

Do This Yourself

How to confirm a firm really offers TradeLocker

  1. Step 1

Go to the firm's own site

Not a comparison page, not a Discord screenshot, not an old blog post.

  2. Step 2

    Open the platform page

Firms list their platforms explicitly. If TradeLocker is absent from that list, treat it as unavailable.

  3. Step 3

    Check at checkout

Platform choice is often tied to the account type or region. Confirm it where you actually select the account.

  4. Step 4

    Ask support in writing

One message before you pay. Keep the reply — it is your evidence if the account arrives on the wrong platform.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is TradeLocker?

+

TradeLocker is a browser-based trading platform used by a number of prop firms. You reach it through a web address rather than installing a desktop terminal, and your prop firm account is provisioned inside it by the firm.

Which prop firms offer TradeLocker?

+

On this page we only list firms that name TradeLocker as an available platform on their own current official website: Goat Funded Trader, For Traders and Blue Guardian. Other firms may add or remove it at any time, so always confirm on the firm's own platform page before buying.

Can I run my MT5 Expert Advisor on TradeLocker?

+

No. Expert Advisors are MetaTrader programs written in MQL5 and they require a MetaTrader terminal. A browser-based platform is not a MetaTrader terminal, so an EA cannot be loaded into it. If your strategy depends on an EA, choose a firm's MT5 offering instead.

Why did so many newer prop firms adopt TradeLocker?

+

The practical draw is onboarding. A browser platform means a new customer can be trading minutes after checkout with nothing to download, no terminal version to support and no separate login flow to explain. That matters more to a young firm than a deep automation ecosystem does.

Is there a TradeLocker mobile app?

+

Mobile availability and feature parity differ between firms and change over time, so we do not state it here. Check the platform page of the specific firm you are considering.

How do I confirm a firm really offers TradeLocker?

+

Look for TradeLocker on the firm's own platform page or in its account-type selector at checkout, not on a comparison site. Platform availability can also depend on the account type or region you pick, so check it at the point where you choose your account.

Know the platform, then pick the firm

If a browser platform fits how you trade, these are the firms that list TradeLocker on their own site. If you need an EA, take an MT5 account instead — that is the honest answer.
